Tribute from

Gladys Anyimah

Then I heard the voice from heaven saying to me Blessed are those who die in the lord from now on they shall rest from their labor and their works will abide (Rev. 14;13)

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we pay this tribute to our beloved father, friend, uncle, and grandpa-Mr. Kofi Adjei. Remarkable people become role models who inspire the young ones going through various stages in life, such as Papa Adjei. He was generous to the core, humble, patient, and had a welcoming personality.

Papa, you were always calling and checking on the family and ready to offer assistance even on short notice. Memories still linger on when we had long chats over dinners. You were full of life and inspiration; we have learned a lot from the advice you shared with us in times of need. We enjoyed every moment you spent with us in your lifetime and your passing has taught us to live our lives to the fullest as tomorrow is not guaranteed.

You fought for your life on your dying bed, however, you were very optimistic to live. This is the humble man lying here today lifeless and silent. We mourn your death. Nevertheless, we are heartened by the fact that the Almighty has called you to higher service. The entire family will continue to keep in mind that God gives and God takes away at his own time, we will miss your fellowship and leadership.

Here is a poem in your memory:

Mr. Kofi-Adjei, your presence always warmed our home

With peace and security and love.

You were like a gentle breeze that wafted through

Setting things right, creating a haven for us all.

Whatever problems we had, you solved them.

Whatever triumphs we had, you celebrated them.

Whatever needs we had, you fulfilled them.

Surely such a friend, father and grandpa, could never drift far

From those he loved with all his heart.

Though you have left your earthly body behind,

We feel your presence.

May you rest in the bosom of the Almighty till we meet again.

Papa, rest in peace.

Papa, da yie.
