The WORD of the Lord tells us in Rev.14:13;
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.”
I came to know Mr. Adjei through his family staying with me, in the same apartment, for about a year, before he joined them from Ghana. Through the years, the relationship I had with him grew for the simple initial reason of both of us being Accountants.
At this moment, Daddy Adjei, as I affectionately call him, cannot hear whatever I have to say. If the Lord had made it possible for those who pass on to at least, hear a few words from those they leave behind, he would have heard me asking him this simple question: “Mr. Adjei, we have planned to undertake a project together, so now that you are gone, how do I proceed?”
Let me expatiate a little bit on this: in the early months of 2020, Daddy Adjei partnered with me to move into a new avenue of business of selling airline tickets. This led to his going for an Airline Ticket Sale Training in New York, and upon his return, he installed a ticket sale software called SABRE RED on my computer. We could not, immediately, start this project due the global pandemic. We had planned to revisit this idea after all travel restrictions were lifted; but as it stands right now, I doubt if I could even go close to that idea again. What is even making matters worse for me is the fact that, anytime I turn on my computer, and see the SABRE RED icon on my desktop, I sob heavily in my office.
One thing l would never ever forget is that, anytime Daddy Adjei came to our shop, he would great us by saying, "Peace be unto this house". This should tell you all you need to know about Daddy Adjei regarding his fear for the Lord.
The passing of Daddy Adjei is a big blow, not only to his immediate family, but to mine as well. We would, however, cherish one thing he left us: “Prayer, irrespective of the words used, be it few or many, our focus is still on the Lord.” We would forever miss you, Mr Adjei; God be with you till we meet again.
