Tribute from
Grandchildren
For many people grandpa was an advisor, a teacher, and an entertainer but to us he was all these and more. He was also kind, funny, a good storyteller, a friend, and above all the best Grandpa we could ever ask for.
It has been difficult for us to come up with the right words to express how we feel about his departure, because no amount of words can describe what and how much he meant to us.
For me, Kyle, he was funny, taught me songs and allowed us, his grandkids to stay up late, and that is why we looked forward to sleepovers.
For Sami, he loved spending time with him, making jokes, drawing pictures for him, and sleeping in his bed.
For Odem, he was so kind, gave him compliments and presents and was simply the best grandpa.
For Shannara, he was a generous man and loved her first iPhone he gifted her.
For cousin Lily, he will be forever remembered for his inside jokes. Whenever he was eating, to make sure he was enjoying the meal she would say “I am working on it” which he responded, “I am working on it” with so much enthusiasm.
Grandpa, we miss you every day since you left us and will forever be in our hearts. You always sent us to bring your medicine box, and other chores you made us do for you. You gave us special names and called me the Professor, Sami the Dean, Odem the Doctor, Shannara the Chancellor and Cousin Lily simply Mama Lee.
Grandpa we will miss you teaching us Twi and telling us stories about Ghana.
Grandpa you taught us a lot, and one of your lessons I will always keep in mind is that only a fool does not change their mind.
Rest in Peace Grandpa! And like you always said “bye for now” until we meet again. May the good Lord grant you eternal rest!
We love you Grandpa
