Tribute from

James Pappoe

Mr. Kofi Adjei and I became acquainted after he became my predecessor as President of GHASEA (Ghana Association of Greater Seattle). Coincidentally, we are both from the same GaAdangme constituency and speak the same Ga language.

He was a fine gentleman and gave me a lot of respect and cordiality, to my amazement even though he was older and well educated than I. A virtue that he acquired from his background as a family man, a senior officer, and parental training.

Mr. Adjei always looked for ways to extend his passion to help, even though he was himself facing medical problems. At one point, he stressed the importance of me being recognized as former President of GJASRA against my wishes.

It goes to emphasize the kind of person he is and would be for his fellow comrade. He is going to be missed.

My last interaction with him was when he approached me to make available names of prospective contacts for his Travel Agency. A request I was pleased to provide for a man of his caliber.
